The S9701-82DC disaggregated open router uses the Broadcom J2C silicon, which provides 4GB packet buffer, 1000Mpps packet throughput and 2.4Tbs switching capacity. It includes an optional knowledge-based processor (or TCAM) to perform up to 16 parallel searches to reach decision speeds of multiple billion decisions per second, which makes it ideal for provider edge applications. In addition, the S9701-82DC comes with integrated timing interfaces (GNSS, 10MHz, 1PPS, and ToD) with support for IEEE1588v2 and SyncE timing synchronization with Class C accuracy for modern network applications. It is compatible with Exaware and other open-source and commercial NOS offerings. It is configurable with optics and software.
