The S9600-72XC open aggregation router is a highly reliable, non-blocking white box routing platform designed for Time Sensitive Networking and 5G compatibility. Equipped with Broadcom’s Qumran2c merchant silicon chip and an Intel Skylake processor, this router features 64x25GE and 8x100GE high-speed ports with a switching capacity of up to 2.4Tbs. It is designed to integrate open NOS applications, making it highly reliable and future-proof for meeting evolving 5G requirements with ultra-low latency and high precision frequency and phase timing synchronization support.
The S9600-72XC is primarily used for broadband network gateway and metro aggregation. It is compatible with a wide range of NOSes, including Arrcus, Capgemini, Exaware, IP Infusion, and Rtbrick. Installation of the router is quick and easy onto standard 19″ server racks, and its streamlined maintenance is facilitated by redundant and hot-swappable power and fan modules. The router also features a high density of 64x25GE ports with additional 8x100GE ports, a 2.4Tbps switching capacity with an 8 Core, 1.9GHz processor, a 4GB packet buffer, and hardware that supports full SyncE and IEEE 1588v2. Additionally, it includes an integrated Stratum 3E OCXO with optional hold-over performances, Class C timing accuracy support, an integrated GNSS receiver with passive or active antenna support, and rich timing interfaces 10MHz, 1PPS, and ToD.
