The NVIDIA Spectrum SN4700 is a 1U open Ethernet spine/super-spine switch featuring 32×400GbE QSFP-DD ports, delivering up to 12.8Tbps switching capacity and 8.4 billion packets per second processing. Designed for maximum flexibility, it supports a wide range of port speeds from 1GbE to 400GbE per port. Ideal for high-performance spine fabrics in cloud and hyperscale data centers, the SN4700 supports multiple operating systems, including Cumulus Linux and SONiC.

It comes pre-loaded with Cumulus Linux and ONIE.

Question:

Can I still use Onyx on it?

Answer:

Yes, but Onyx is being phased out and is currently in maintenance mode. We recommend moving to Cumulus Linux, which is now the flagship NOS of NVIDIA Spectrum.

What breakout configurations are available on the 32 QSFP-DD ports?

Each 400G QSFP-DD port can be broken out to 2x200G, 4x100G, 8x50G, 16x25G, or thirty-two 10G interfaces.

What management interfaces are available for the MSN4700-WS2FC?

The switch provides a 1G RJ45 management port, a serial console port (RJ45), and a USB Type-A port for configuration backup.

Unfortunately, NVIDIA Spectrum switches are all sold with Cumulus Linus pre-loaded, and are not sold bare metal.
