The Edge-Core AS7926-40XKFB COR550 is a high-performance disaggregated core router designed for telecom and data center applications. Powered by Broadcom StrataDNX Jericho2 silicon, it delivers non-blocking line-rate performance and features 40x100GbE QSFP28 and 13x400Gbe QSFP-DD fabric interfaces. When interconnected with the Edgecore COR580 (Ramon Spine), the COR550 forms a distributed chassis or spine and leaf architecture, providing a scalable and flexible network infrastructure with high throughput bandwidth for routing, packet processing, and efficient traffic management.
Preloaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the COR550 supports the installation of compatible Network Operating Systems (NOS), including the open-source option Open Network Linux and commercial NOS offerings. Key features include high-capacity external TCAM (BCM16K) for expandable table sizes and statistics, front-to-back airflow, carrier-grade fan filter, hot-swappable 1+1 redundant DC-DC/AC-DC PSUs, 4+1 redundant and hot-swappable fan modules, synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2 PTP support, timing synchronization stack interfaces, a compact design with a 635mm depth, and a high operating temperature of up to 55°C.
