The Edge-Core AS7716-24SC Cassini Open Packet Transponder Switch is a high-capacity, cost-effective, and flexible solution for network operators. This 1.5RU switch features a 3.2 Tbps switching fabric, 16x100GbE QSFP28 main ports, and 8 line-card slots for QSFP28, offering seamless expansion and migration of existing metro and long-haul DWDM networks.

Powered by the Broadcom Tomahawk+ ASIC and is loaded with ONIE which enables the installation of compatible open source and commercial NOS software. The switch also supports Ethernet and optical line cards with MACsec security, ensuring secure encrypted connections on both client-side links and metro or wide area connections.
