The Edge-Core AS7946-74XKSB AGR420 is a high-performance 25GbE aggregation router designed for telecom and data center applications. Powered by the Broadcom StrataDNX Qumran2C ASIC and an Intel D1548 8C CPU, it features a range of network interfaces, including 64x10G/25G SFP28, 8x100G QSFP28, and 2x100G QSFP-DD, allowing deployment as a disaggregated or standalone router. The external BCM16K Lookup Engine performs high-speed operations on large-rule databases, enabling packet classification, policy enforcement, and forwarding.
Engineered with the latest Broadcom StrataDNX Qumran2C silicon and an external lookup engine, the AGR420 targets use cases such as OpenBNG, 25G pre-aggregation router, PE router, and data center TOR switch/router. Preloaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), it supports the installation of compatible Network Operating Systems (NOS), including Open Network Linux (ONL), IP Infusion OcNOS, RtBrick Full Stack OS, and commercial NOS offerings.
