Yes, all 32 QSFP28 ports support breakout to 4×25G using DACs or optics, and the switch delivers full 3.2T line-rate throughput... no oversubscription.

Is there any vendor lock-in on the NOS, or can I load whatever I want?

Answer:

The switch comes with ONIE for installing a compatible NOS. Options include Community SONiC, Edgecore MACH NOS, Enterprise SONiC Distribution by Broadcom and IP Infusion OcNOS. Each option needs a build qualified for the AS7726-32X; ONIE does not make every operating system compatible. Other NOS options may be available as the ecosystem evolves.

Does the airflow matter if I’m racking these in the middle of a pod?

Answer:

Yes, this SKU has back-to-front airflow, so make sure it matches your hot/cold aisle design. If you need front-to-back airflow, that would be the 7726-32X-O-AC-F SKU.

Can I run a mix of 40G and 100G on the same switch, or will that mess with optics compatibility?

You can mix 40G and 100G ports as needed, just make sure transceivers match the port speed and breakout config. The platform supports both via QSFP+ and QSFP28 standards.
