The UfiSpace S9500-22XST is a high-performance, versatile disaggregated cell site gateway router (DCSG) specifically designed to address the evolving backhaul transport requirements as telecoms transition from legacy technologies towards 5G New Radio (5G NR). This router can aggregate network data from legacy BBU equipment using RJ45 with next-gen 5G BBUs and enables telecoms and service providers to deploy open, disaggregated network infrastructure. This results in lower costs and rapid scaling of existing services for edge computing, mobile backhaul, and broadband access applications. It is compatible with IP Infusion OcNOS as well as other open-source and commercial NOS offerings.
Equipped with Broadcom’s Qumran-AX ASIC, a powerful quad-core processor, 22 high-speed interfaces, and full timing features supporting IEEE 1588v2 and SyncE, the S9500-22XST is future-proofed for 5G deployments. The router is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, featuring redundant, hot-swappable components that ensure increased availability, reliability, and reduced maintenance costs.
