Overview

The Edge-Core AS7315-30X CSR300 is a 300G ONIE cell site router designed for mobile backhaul networks. This compact and temperature-hardened open cell site gateway platform offers optimized performance with a combination of 1/10 Gbps, 25 Gbps, and 100 Gbps interfaces, utilizing merchant silicon and a standard x86 processor for access and aggregation networks. It operates at a wide temperature range of -40℃ to 65℃ and is equipped with redundant, hot-swappable power and fan modules for high availability and easy maintenance.

The CSR300 supports IEEE 1588v2 PTP with SyncE, making it suitable for current LTE and emerging 5G mobile backhaul networks. Pre-loaded with ONIE (Open Network Install Environment), the CSR300 allows users to choose their preferred Network Operating System (NOS) integration. It is compatible with Open Network Linux (ONL), ADVA Ensemble Activator, and IP Infusion OcNOS.

Edge-Core CSR series overview

Edge-Core’s CSR series open cell site routers are designed with high port density and speeds for 5G networks, and come in a compact and efficient design that enables easy deployment at cell sites. They support Layer 2, Layer 3, and MPLS features, along with time synchronization protocols such as IEEE1588v2 and Synchronous Ethernet with Class C accuracy. Additionally, the CSR series routers are based on the latest generation chipset that provide an 802.1CM Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) interface, supporting SRv6 technology and eCPRI encapsulation for upcoming xHaul applications and deployments.
