Answer:

It’s open. The switch comes with ONIE preloaded and is compatible with multiple NOS options including IP Infusion OcNOS, RtBrick Full Stack OS, and Arrcus ArcOS. Other NOS options may be available as the ecosystem evolves.

Question:

Can I run 400G ZR optics in all 4 400G ports at once on the AS7946-30XB?

Answer:

Only if each optic fits its port’s power class and is qualified for the platform and NOS. The AGR400 has two 400G ports rated at 21.3W and two at 16.5W. A 400G ZR optic that needs more than 16.5W cannot be assumed compatible with all four ports.

Can I load OcNOS on it out of the box, or do I need to reflash it first?

Answer:

The bare-metal configuration comes with ONIE. A preloaded OcNOS configuration depends on the hardware, software license and installation specified in your order.
